CCleaner 3.17 Released With Wildcard Support for Cookie cleaning

Piriform on Monday announced the release of CCleaner 3.17 with wildcard support for Cookie cleaning and improved cleaning support for Google Chrome beta versions. Several other improvements and minor bug fixes are also made in the new build.

Those who are new to application, CCleaner is a freeware tool that helps you to protects your Privacy by cleaning all browsing history, removes junk files, cleans registry and thus by improves system performance.With CCleaner you can uninstall programs, clean temporary files and can fix broken shortcuts also.

Windows 8 Customer Preview available to Download(Update : Direct and Torrent Links included)

The Waiting is finally over as Microsoft has now officially released the consumer preview.

Microsoft launched the Beta at theMobile World Congress event in Barcelona. This is the biggest annual trade show for companies displaying and showing off their latest mobile computing wares, which include tablets.

The download has gone live just some time ago, but please remember this is just a beta, so shouldn’t be considered finished and stable for everyday use.

Internet Explorer : Silent Updates from this year

Internet Explorer is continuously losing its market share to other emerging browsers such as Chrome which is making its way to be next Market leader in this Browser war. Now the main reason for this decline is that many users of the Internet Explorer browser are not updating the web browser. If you look at the browser’s market share, you will notice that users are still working with Internet Explorer 6, 7 or 8 and not the latest version Internet Explorer 9 (IE8 for XP users).
Many user don't update Internet Explorer as they never use it. But in reality, if you use Windows you use IE in the background whether you want or not, which still poses security threats to your system. Programs can use IE’s rendering engine for instance to display contents.

For instance when you sign-into Yahoo! Messenger and pop-up (My Yahoo!) loads.

My Take on Windows 8

Windows 8 is the next version of the Microsoft Windows computer operating system following  Windows 7. In December 2011, Microsoft held an event in San Francisco in which Microsoft announced that the public beta will be released sometime in February 2012, along with the Windows Store Beta.
With the Developer Preview having been made publicly available back in mid-September, at the time it was downloaded in huge numbers and it’s been interesting reading blogs from tech journalists who have been using it in anger. You might have also tried it and then soon got rid of it.
