As of January 2012, Chrome is the second most widely used browser, having overtaken Firefox in November 2011, with a 28.4% worldwide usage share of web browsers and now you can carry it with you on your pen drive.The most basic advantage of portable browser is that you can take the application anywhere so say you are at a coffee shop or any similar public place with internet access and they don't allow you to install any application but with portable chrome you can browse the internet without installing it .
Other advantage is you retain your bookmarks,extension,apps and browsing history as it will not leave any traces neither store it's settings on the host.
To uninstall, simply delete the folder.
